The internal flows related to intensification were defined based on an expert consultation done in the context of the ETC/ULS actions. The next LCF were selected:</SPAN></SPAN></P><P STYLE="text-align:Justify;margin:8 0 8 0;"><SPAN><SPAN>- LCF522: Diffuse conversion from semi-natural land to agriculture: Conversion from dry semi-natural land (except CLC324, grouped with forests) to pasture and mixed agriculture with pasture.</SPAN></SPAN></P><P STYLE="text-align:Justify;margin:8 0 8 0;"><SPAN><SPAN>- LCF463: Diffuse conversion from pasture to arable and permanent crops: Conversion from complex cultivation patterns including pasture (CLC242) to uniform arable land and permanent crops as well as to associations of the last two (CLC241) and conversion of uniform pasture (CLC231) to complex cultivation patterns.</SPAN></SPAN></P><P STYLE="text-align:Justify;margin:8 0 8 0;"><SPAN><SPAN>An intensification raster was created using the CLC change layer and a lookup table for the related land cover changes. On the other side, a grassland layer was created as reference area for the calculation of the share of changes on the respective land cover type. The shares are calculated after summarizing at NUTS3 level, leading to the percentage of LCF change per specific land cover type.</SPAN></SPAN></P><P STYLE="text-align:Justify;margin:8 0 8 0;"><SPAN>https://forum.eionet.europa.eu/etc-urban-land-and-soil-systems/library/action-plan-2016/1.8.2.2-land-resource-efficiency</SPAN></P></DIV>
